Soft launch — public demo live
Your lighting stock has a mix of ages, specs and condition — and no single view of what to do with any of it.
Bright Decisions is EGG's public lighting-asset platform. Survey data becomes a side-by-side comparison of retaining, repairing, remanufacturing or replacing each fitting, with the evidence behind every figure.
How the comparison works
- 01
Survey
Field capture of each fitting — photographs, labels and condition, offline-first.
- 02
Enrich
Matched against product specifications, environmental product declarations and duty-cycle data — the same repeatable pipeline every time, because a new product's measured EPD and existing stock's modelled TM65 estimate are not directly comparable without one.
- 03
Compare
Retain, repair, upgrade, remanufacture and replace shown side by side — each measured against what a new-equivalent unit would cost and emit, sourced from its own EPD.
- 04
Evidence
Every figure carries a source and a confidence level, reviewed before it's relied on.
Built for everyone who touches the asset
Not just the person who approves the budget. Each role sees the part of the record that's theirs to keep accurate.
Surveyor
Captures condition, location and photographs in the field, offline-first.
Technical reviewer
Checks enrichment against product specifications and standards before a decision relies on it.
Manufacturer / remanufacturer
Supplies the product data, EPD and warranty terms that travel with the fitting as its Digital Product Passport from day one.
Maintenance engineer
Logs service history and lifecycle events against each asset, using components qualified against the standard rather than locked to the original manufacturer.
Waste handler
Records end-of-life recovery and disposal, closing the evidence trail.
Auditor
Reviews the full record: source, confidence level and who signed off each figure.
About the public demo
The demo at brightdecisions.eggsystems.co.uk runs on six guided scenarios and illustrative figures — including the cost, carbon and waste-diversion numbers it shows. They demonstrate how the comparison works; they are not a client's measured results.
Bright Decisions is the decision-support and evidence layer. It does not carry out remanufacturing.
The demo now compares five routes — retain, repair, upgrade, remanufacture and replace — against a new-equivalent baseline, and tracks each fitting's Digital Product Passport through its working life.
See your own stock through it.
Run the guided demo yourself, or bring us a real survey and we'll show what the comparison looks like against it.
