EGG Systems is the software-development practice built within EGG Lighting, a Glasgow operating business.
We did not begin with a generic agency proposition. We began by building tools for problems we were dealing with ourselves: technical surveys, incomplete asset data, compliance evidence, recurring reporting, sales research and disconnected operational records.
That origin shapes the work. We care less about whether a system looks impressive in a demonstration and more about whether it survives real documents, real exceptions, limited connectivity, changing staff and the requirement to explain what happened later.

What we believe
- Useful before impressive. The system must reduce a real burden or improve a real decision.
- Human accountability remains. AI may prepare, interpret and recommend; responsibility stays with the organisation and the people assigned to the process.
- The data should remain usable. A client should not be trapped because one supplier alone understands the record.
- Uncertainty should be visible. Low confidence, incomplete coverage and known limitations are product information, not defects to hide.
- Documentation is part of the build. Environment, setup, operation, integrations, limitations and roadmap should not live only in a developer's head.
